More than three years in the making, The Story of China is an international co-production and landmark travel/history/adventure series which tells the history of the world’s oldest continuous state from the ancient past to the present day. As this enormous project reaches fruition, writer and historian, Michael Wood, argues that for us to understand this new superpower, we have to look at its history. In this major new series, BBC Two brings the narrative of Chinese history and its people to a western TV audience for the first time.

Join us on the eve of its television debut for a preview of the series and a chance to hear from and speak with Michael Wood and the team as they share their fascinating, entertaining, and profound stories from the shoot and clips from the series.
